The RESTORE+ team is a consortium of 10 organizations consisting of research institutes, think tanks, and NGOs. The project brings together global expertise on restoration related topics. IIASA as lead coordinator works together with ICRAF, INPE, IPEA, UNEP-WCMC, WRI Indonesia, WWF Indonesia, MCC, EDF, LSE and Meridia.

World Agroforestry Center (ICRAF)
ICRAF is an international research institute specialising in sustainable management, protection and regulation of tropical rainforest and natural reserves. In RESTORE+, ICRAF coordinates RESTORE+ activities in Indonesia while partnering with IIASA for the application of its various tools. |
Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (INPE)
INPE is a Brazilian research institute that aims at fostering scientific research, technological applications and qualifying personnel in the fields of space and atmospheric sciences, space engineering and space technology. INPE coordinates RESTORE+ activities in Brazil while partnering with IIASA for the application of GLOBIOM Brazil. |
The Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA)
IPEA is a Brazilian government-led research organisation dedicated for the formulation and reformulation of public policies and development programs in Brazil. IPEA works closely with INPE to conduct econometric analysis and data processing for RESTORE+. |
UN Environment World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC)
Based in Cambridge, UK, UNEP-WCMC has unrivalled expertise to extend impact and to strengthen the capacity to manage biodiversity and ecosystem services. UNEP-WCMC is the lead for activities related to biodiversity assessment in the RESTORE+ project. |
World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia
WRI Indonesia is an independent, non-government research organisation aimed to contribute to the socioeconomic development of Indonesia in an inclusive and sustainable way. WRI Indonesia is responsible for developing the RESTORE+ participatory and dissemination platform. |
Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC)
MCC is a research organisation that focuses on economic growth issues from sustainable and climate protection perspective. In RESTORE+, MCC coordinates the effort of identifying financing mechanisms and policy recommendations for restoration. |
Environmental Defense Fund (EDF)
EDF is a non-profit environmental advocacy group focusing on global warming, ecosystem restoration, oceans, and human health and advocates using sound science, economics and law to find environmental solutions. EDF contributes to RESTORE+ by formulating and assessing possible scalable financing mechanisms for restoration. |
London School of Economics (LSE), Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment
LSE Grantham Research Institute is a research institute that focuses on climate change with interdisciplinary international expertise on economics, finance, geography, environment, international development and political economy. In RESTORE+, LSE provides uncertainty assessment related to scalable financing mechanism. |
