Aline Soterroni
Aline Soterroni is a land use modeler working at the RESTORE+ Brazil team at Earth System Science Center of the National Institute for Space Research (CCST-INPE). Since 2012 she has been developing the regional version of the partial equilibrium model GLOBIOM for Brazil (called GLOBIOM-Brazil) with focus on reconciling environmental preservation with sustainable agricultural production. She is also interested in studying climate change impacts, degraded land restoration, biodiversity losses, land use policies and other policy efforts such as supply chain agreements. Aline holds a master’s and PhD degree in Applied Computing from INPE. She is also a guest research scholar at the Ecosystems Services and Management department at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (ESM-IIASA).
